THE AREA AROUND THE VILLA

The villa is located on the outskirts of Rethymno city in a totally private area, near the small village of Gallos and the University of Crete.

The whole surrounding area is in a quiet natural environment next to a small gorge and even though the city is close, you can feel “away from it all”!

In the Gallos village where you can go on foot, you will find a mini market and a great traditional tavern. Also an organized tennis court is located 600 meters away from the villa! More shops, seafront restaurants and supermarkets are only a couple of minutes away by car in the entrance of Rethymno city, called Koumpes area. This area has also the closest sandy beach to the villa. The organized long sandy beach of Rethymno is 6 km away.

Furthermore it is a great base for making excursions around Crete as the main national road is only 2 minutes away.
